Details
ARNE WORGRET ROAD SY 98 NW 6/19 Worgret Farm House II Detached farmhouse. Late Cl8 - early Cl9, rear wing may be earlier. Brick walls on stone base, with dentil cornice at eaves. Hipped concrete tiled roof; brick stack at back of front range. L-shaped plan. 2 storeys. Single-storey slated lean-to at west end of main range. C20 part-glazed door in original reeded surround, under flat moulded hood. Ground floor has 2 double-hung sash windows with glazing bars, under segmental arches. First floor has one similar sash and 2 casement windows with glazing bars. Rear wing has lean-to addition on welt, under catslide roof. At rear of this wing an attached stone building, former bakehouse. Main staircase, probably contemporary with house, has closed string and turned balusters. RCHM Monument 25 (Dorset Vol II)
