Garden walls and attached outbuildings. C18 and C19. North wall and west
wing wall brick in Flemish Garden Wall Bond 1 & 3; rear faces and other walls
coursed rubble; cut stone dressings. Outbuilding roof Welsh slate. Irregular
plan. South wall, 2.5 metres high, has doorway with flat-pointed head and
flat coping; at west end it joins yard wall to 'Chapel' (q.v.). Similar
east wall has 2 doorways of the same type, one near centre converted into a
window and one at north end now blocked; boarded door in alternating-block
surround between. Taller castellated section at north-east corner. Long
north wall, 3.3 metres high with flat coping, has 2 projecting castellated
turrets, which formerly held furnaces, on outer face; each has a flat-pointed
doorway and blind slits. Further west is a taller section of wall backed
by a small gabled storehouse with boarded door in similar doorway. To west
is wing wall, which runs south for c.20 metres. Beyond this is a castellated
blind gateway facing north: pointed arch with blind slits above and in
flanking turrets.

Westward continuation of north wall, with attached cottage, is not of special
interest.
