Obelisk base, C18. Squared stone. Square structure with chamfered and moulded
plinths and moulded cap, present height c.4 metres. The obelisk reputedly
marks the spot where Admiral George Delaval suffered a fatal fall whilst riding
on June 22nd 1723.
