SEATON DELAVAL SEATON DELAVAL HALL NZ 3276 Orangery, in walled 13/95 garden 300 metres north- east of Seaton 28.7.50 Delaval Hall (formerly listed as the Orangery Theatre) II* Orangery. Early C18, possibly by Vanbrugh. Squared tooled stone of near-ashlar quality; pantile roof to rear outshut. Roman Doric arcaded 5-bay front. Renewed glazing in round-arched openings under metope frieze, and moulded parapet with pilasters with lead dancing putti (away for repair at time of survey). Frieze and parapet continued on returns. Rear elevation shows central projection flanked by lower outshuts; boarded door. 21-pane fixed window in centre and 13 similar 9-pane windows below.
