WOKINGHAM KEEPHATCH ROAD SU 86 NW (North side) 10/19 Keeper's Cottage 2.5.74 II Cottage. Mid C16, extended C18 and mid C20. Timber framed, painted brick infill, old tile gabled roof. Lobby entrance L-plan, of 3 framed bays with small extension on north. 2 storeys. Old chimney cut down and rebuilt C20, on ridge to left of centre. South front:- C19, 2-light scattered, within timber frame. Frame missing on ground floor, underbuilt in painted brick. C19 planked entrance door to left of centre with small gabled tile hood and carved bargeboards. Interior:- most of frame exposed with jowled posts, large plain joists and large principal beams with chamfers and stepped stops. 2 shutter grooves on north side to former window openings. Inglenook chimney. Queen post roof with clasped purlins.
