2/22 Church Farmhouse

GV II

Detached farmhouse. Early C19; C20 alterations. Random rubble
limestone; ashlar chimneys with projecting caps. Main block of 2
storeys; single-storey with attic to rear wing. Front: doorway
with 6-panel door and timber porch; scattered fenestration.
Three-light chamfered mullioned casements to ground floor, 2-light
to upper floor. Further left is outbuilding increased in height in
C20 to form extension to main block; 3 ridge-mounted chimneys.
South end: parapet gabled with roughcast render finish and with
open balcony dated 1932 having hipped roof. North end: roof pitch
line raised to form parapet gable over large garage door having
timber lintel and large relieving arch; single C19 casement with
timber lintel to upper floor. Rear elevation: much altered with
scattered small-paned casements of C19 and C20. Various lean-to
additions. Projecting rear wing with parapet gable end has also
received many C20 alterations. Interior not inspected. Forms
part of group with barns (q.v.) and outbuilding (q.v).
