MATFEN FENWICK NZ 07 SE 15/164 Farmbuildings north of Fenwick Tower
GV II
Byres and stores. Medieval, C17 and C18. Squared stone and random rubble. Welsh slate roof. Single storey, 3 bays. Boarded and stable-type doors in C19 tooled-and-margined alternating-block surrounds. Next to door on right a small square window with double-chamfered surround.
Against and through east end of this range is one wall of a tower, approx 9 ft. thick and approx 20 ft high. One loop light survives within an C18 lean-to built against this wall.
