NORTHLEACH WITH HIGH STREET SP 1114 EASTINGTON (north side), Northleach 8/98 Congregational Church GV II
Former Congregational Church now converted into house. Built 1860. Coursed squared and dressed limestone, slate roof. Clerestory with horizontal timber cladding. Rectangular plan. Symmetrical facade. Gable end with offsets and trefoil bell-hanging at apex facing road. Buttressed with offsets and steeply pointed coping. Tall central 3-light window with trefoil light at apex. Inscription under window 'CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH SUNDAY SERVICES llAM - 6PM'. Pointed hood with square foliate stops. Single small lancets either side. Pointed C19 plank doors below with hoods with foliate stops. Flat coping at gable end. Triangular kneelers. Roll-cross saddle at apex of gable.
