Cottage. C18, with circa C19 outbuilding converted in C20. Rendered stone
rubble. Thatched roof with gabled and hipped ends. Large rendered stack on
right hand gable end. Small 2-room plan cottage, with later range adjoining on
the left at an obtuse angle. This adjoining range was formerly an outbuilding
apparently stables and a linkway (barn). 2 storeys. Asymmetrical 3-window range,
plus 3 windows in converted outbuilding to left. C19 and C20 1 and 2-light
casements with glazing bars and slate cills. Large C20 thatched porch to left of
centre with glazed double doors. Converted outbuilding po-rojects on left at
obtuse angle with 3 C20 casements on front. A small stream runs along the back
of the house which has no rear extensions, various small casements on rear
elevation.
Interior: Right hand room has large slate rubble fireplace with unchamfered
cambered timber lintel and cloam oven. No main beams but roughly chanfered
closely-spaced cross-joists.
Roofspace not accessible but straight principal rafters set on wall tops visible
in first floor rooms.
