7/111 The Old House

II

Former farmhouse for Reevey Farm, now private house. Late C17,
with alterations probably of early C20. Rubble stone, tile roof
(originally probably stone slate), brick end stack to right,
rendered end stack to left. Single range of 2 storeys and attic,
with separate rear cottage wing of later date not of special
interest. Three windows, 2-light leaded casements in plain stone
surrounds and with timber lintels across top. Ground floor has 3-
light similar window to right, early C20 canted bay to left and
gabled porch to centre, both with stone slate roofs. Nine-panel
door with top layer of 3 glazed in moulded wood surround. One
small gabled dormer to left. Right hand return and rear have
several remaining original C17 two-light and single light stone
windows.
