BIBURY ARLINGTON CORNER SP 1006-1106 The Ponderosa, Court Cottage and 11/57 Weaver's Cottage (previously listed 26.1.61 as Five cottages adjoining and at right angles to house approximately 100 yards S.W. of Arlington Mill) GV II Formerly row of 5 houses, now 3. Early-mid C17; mid-late C18 addition; some C20 alterations to Weaver's Cottage. Central section of row is single-storey with attic; two-storey with attic end houses. Linked on east side with Spinners and Lilac Cottage at right angles (q.v.). West side (from left to right): single- window timber casement fenestration with timber lintels to The Ponderosa, lower right part having 2 and 3-light recessed cavetto mullioned ground floor casements with hoodmoulds; doorway with timber lintel to left having trellis porch; 2 eaves-mounted roof dormers. Full gable to left part of Court Cottage with 2-light recessed chamfered attic casement, 3-light below, both with hoodmoulds. Two ground floor casements with timber lintels to right. C20 restored mullioned fenestration to Weaver's Cottage. East side (from left to right): 3-light recessed chamfered ground floor casement to Weaver's Cottage with hoodmould, 2-light above. C20 casements to Court Cottage. Three-light recessed cavetto mullioned casement to left part of The Ponderosa; timber casements to right part with 2 roof dormers. Various ridge-mounted chimneys, mostly C20 rebuilt. Interiors not inspected.
