Details

WOKINGHAM THE TERRACE SU 8068 NE (North side) Shute End 17/26 No.23 [Queen's Head 12.11.51 Public House) G.V. II Hall house, now public house. Early C15 altered C19, extended late C20. Timber framed, encased in painted brick and painted render; old tile hipped roof, hipped on west. One and a half storeys. Flank chimney on left. Rectangular plan of 3 framed bays with extension at rear. Former hall in centre bay with cruck frame; former service end in west bay. Road front:-3, flat roof dormers. Black, painted, projecting plinth. One 2-light and two 3-light leaded casements; 6-panelled door to right of centre in architrave surround of panelled pilasters and flat moulded hood on small brackets. Painted bracket sign of Queen Elizabeth.
