House. C17, altered C18, C19. Painted brickwork to most of ground floor, brick-nogged timber-framing above, thatched roof, tiled to extension. Two bays, one room deep with rear lean-to, 1½ storeys. Front: late C20 front door under open, hipped porch on barked poles. To left single-light casement; at right single-light and 2-light casements, iron opening lights, weatherboard over each. On right single-storey extension around chimney: single-light casement, boarded door. First floor framing one panel high: 2 swept dormers with 2-light casements, that on left with third blind panel on left. Timber finial on gable to left: external brick chimney against right gable, hipped roof to extension. (E. Mercer, English Vernacular Houses, 1975)
