Details
WOKINGHAM WILTSHIRE ROAD SU 86 NW (West side) 10/26 Wiltshire Farmhouse II Farmhouse, now house. Early C17, extended and altered late C18 and mid C20. Part timber framed encased in painted brick, part painted brick, part rendered and painted. Old tile gabled roof. L-plan of 2 x 2 framed bays originally with extensions on north west to form irregular plan. 2 storeys. Large chimneys on ridge and front roof slope to right of centre; other chimneys at rear. Road front:- Painted plat band at first floor level, boxed eaves. 2 bays. Sash windows with glazing bars, that on left ground floor larger. North gable wall has timber frame exposed. Interior:- C17 chimney piece in drawing room, elaborately carved with fruit and foliage ornament; moulded cornice.
