Farmhouse. Probably late C17 to early C18 with early C19 cladding and
extension. Timber-frame, brick cladding and roughcast finish, tiled roofs
with two large stacks to rear side attached by gables to rear roof slope,
Roughly rectangular plan with main garden front facing south-east. Two
storeys and attic. South-east elevation: three plus one bays consisting of
3-window main block with lower two-storey extension to right. Main block
has coved eaves, glazing bar sashes, those to the ground floor are tripartite,
late C19 central porch with wavy bargeboards and 4-panelled mid-C19 door under
transom light; extension also has glazing bar sashes. West gable has three
rows of weathering; east gable small 6-pane casement, V-struts above collar
and four rows of square timber-framed panels above first floor visible at
junction with C19 extension. Steps to cellar at south-west end of rear
elevation. The farmhouse was previously known as Lillends.
