23/248 The Old Stable and attached garden wall 30 metres south west of Black Hedley Farmhouse.

GV II

Stable mid-C18 and garden wall probably 1784 (dated on another part). Coursed rubble with dressings; slate roof. 1 storey + hayloft, 3 bays. Central boarded door in chamfered surround flanked by square stone- surround windows. Moulded kneelers (gable coping removed); wrought- iron weathervane to right has panel with pierced inscription N H (Nicholas Hopper) Esq., 1792. Left return shows external stone stair to boarded door in chamfered surround.

Attached garden wall to right rear has flat coping and boarded door in chamfered surround; two square-headed recesses to left; further left 2 goose runs with cover slabs.
