SIMONBURN B 6318 NY 87 SE (North side, off) 9/109 Low Teppermoor Farmhouse and adjoining byre II

Farmhouse and byre with loft over. Late C18-early C19. Squared sandstone and dressings. House has graduated green slate roof and dressed stone chimneys; byre has purple slate roof. 2-storey, 3-bay farmhouse. Tooled quoins. Central replaced door and replaced sashes in flush surrounds with large alternating jambs. Low-pitched roof with coped gables and shaped kneelers. End stacks with top bands. 2-storey, 3-bay byre with loft over on left return of farmhouse. Central chamfered doorway with alternating jambs and boarded door flanked by partly-glazed hit-and-miss windows;identical window above. Roof has coped left gable. 3 single-storey C19 ranges with boarded doors and altered windows on rear of farmhouse. L-plan range of farmbuildings on left return of byre is not of special interest.
