Former cruck hall house, possibly C16, heavily altered C20. Timber- frame, rendered infill, sandstone plinth, half-hipped tiled roof. Straight range of 4 framed bays, end stack and external stack at rear to right of centre bay. Porch with garage extension (former cowshed) adjoin and project forward from centre of entrance elevation. Single storey and attic, irregular fenestration, C20 glazing bar casements throughout, one half-dormer to left and 3 further dormers to right of C20 glazed door. Framing: altered and renewed, remains of cruck blades visible in bath gable ends, irregular framing, 2 and 3 panels from sill to wall-plate. Former through passage implied by traces of ogee doorheads to left of present entrance in main elevation and in opposing framing at rear.
