North engine house, walkway and cutwaters

Pumping engine house, early C19. Brick with slate roof. Ashlar cutwater, foundations and dressings; dentillated eaves, stone coped gables, two storeys, three bays. West front has, to left, square brick chimney stack on square base with recessed panels and moulded stone coping. Moulded stone cap with acroteria. To right, round-headed wheel opening, now close boarded; above, unglazed opening. South side has central doorway flanked by single square headed unglazed openings. North side has to left, single doorway. East gable has tall round headed opening with stone sill, head, keystone and imposts. To right, pointed arched opening to boiler room. Linked by iron walkway to two stone cutwaters, opening to left blocked, opening to right with guillotine sluice gate.
