Formerly three estate cottages. Now one cottage and a social
club. Early C19. Coursed squared--and dressed limestone, stone
slate roof. Four ashlar stacks, two- restored C19. Long
rectangular plan. Outbuildings linked to main body via walls,
with long rectangular plan. 1 1/2 storeys. Five half dormers to
first floor with 2-light stone-mullioned casements. Six similar
casements with stopped hoods to ground floor. C20 part-glazed
door to No 43, (far left). Two C20 plank doors right. All doors
with flat canopies with moulded margin, on moulded brackets.
Blocked doorway with flat canopy and moulded brackets in right
gable end. Gable end and axial stacks. Flat coping at gable
ends and to dormers. Moulded kneelers. Interiors not inspected.
Coursed squared and dressed limestone wall c2m in height at right
angles to main body linking Nos 43 to No 42. (Property of the
National Trust).
