Farmhouse. C18 with C19 additions and alterations. Timber-framed with narrow, close-set studding designed to be rendered, brick infill, sandstone rubble base and tiled roof with overhanging eaves of 2 parallel ranges. 2 storeys and gable-lit attics with bargeboards and finials to south east gables. Main elevation is 4 bays; all windows have wooden mullions and transoms; C19 timber-framed and gabled porch has bargeboard and finial and part-glazed door with raised and fielded panels to third bay. Several C19 extensions to north west elevation. Terrace to north east with sandstone retaining walls and large, arched entry to cellar. The south east elevation overlooks a moated site within the farmstead.
