Farmhouse. C17, altered and extended during C18 and mid-C19, roofs altered mid-C19. Timber-framed, brick infill, sandstone plinth, tiled part-hipped roofs. Irregular plan: former L-plan house aligned south- west/north-east facing south-east with wing extending to north-west, additions to north-east and south-west: three framed bays to former house with bay of former gable end of cross-wing to right and further added bay to right, three framed bays to left addition slightly set back from main house and adjoin late C19 hop kilns (not of special architectural interest), main central axial stack and end stack to north-east, lateral stack with bread oven to left of south-east front, entrance toward centre of south- east front. Two storeys; south-east front, two 2-light wood mullioned windows below eaves to left of stack, pair of 2-light casement windows in half-dormer to right with small 3-light window below eaves and two further 2-light windows to right; ground floor 2-light casement window to left of stack, further 2-light window and bay window to left and two 2-light casement windows to right of doorway with canopy supported on brackets, panelled door. Central stack with three C19 conjoined star-plan shafts. Irregular framing appears largely complete, four square panels from sill to wall-plate with V-struts in rear gable of cross-wing.
