SURLEY ROW 1. 5128 (West Side) Hill House and No 1 (Formerly listed as Hill House under Peppard Road, Caversham) SU 7175 10/278 22.3.57. II GV 2. Large early C19 villa divided and internally much altered, thin front to west. 4+1 bays plus gable end. 2 storeys stucco with parapet lined with urns. Victorian lean-to verandah. Central doorway with 6 panel door and side lights, patterned segmental fanlight. To south: 5 bays, with slight break to centre 3, string over 1st floor windows, small moulded cornice and panelled balustrade with balusters grouped over 3 central windows. Slate roof. Glazing bar sash windows, 2nd and 4th tripartite. Central door. Outer ground floor windows have segmental heads (former doorways).
