2. C17, C18, mid C19. Old timber-framed mill building, the south front being mainly brick clad, with some buttresses and small cambered openings; the gable (east) has the upper part bricknogged. Half-timber, the lower being red brickwork with flint panels. In front of the mill is a footway above the waterway, formed by 3 brick arches flanked by walling. Attached on the west end is a house of the last period, of one storey and attic. Tile roof, 3 gabled dormers with cills at eaves level, 2 Tudor stacks with coupled diagonal flues. Walling of flints with red brick dressings; quoins, bands, plint. Casements. Red brick gabled porch, with arched opening.
