BRIDGE SOLLERS CP - SO 44 SW 5/16 Bridge Farmhouse 20.2.53 GV II

Farmhouse. C17, extended late C18, with some mid-C19 alterations. Timber- frame with painted brick infill on a rubble plinth under asbestos slate roof. T-plan, cross-wing aligned north-west/south-east, other range to north-east. Gable-end stack to north, lateral stacks on south-west wall of cross-wing and north-west wall of other range. North-west front: cross-wing to right is rendered of two storeys with a 2-light casement under a plank weathering to each floor. Range to left of one storey with attic lit by a dormer with lean-to roof. Ground floor has three windows, a 3-light casement to left, 2-light casements to centre and right. Entrance to right of centre has a shallow gabled canopy. Framing: three square panels high with slightly curved angle braces. North gable truss has two raking struts, collar and V-struts in the apex. Interior has some exposed chamfered and stopped ceiling beams. (RCHM, Vol 3, p 22, no 4).
