KINNERSLEY CP SALLYS SO 35 SE 2/68 The Sallies
- II House. Probably C17 with later alterations. Timber-frame with plaster infill, partly finished in roughcast. Welsh slate roof and brick stack. L-plan of 1 x 2 bays with arms to north-east and south-east. Two storeys. South-west elevation has gable front to left-hand side with central 2-light early C20 casement and small window to left-hand side. Ground floor of gable has contemporary central canted bay window. Gable-top is finished in rough- cast penetrated by the ends of purlins. Attached to right-hand side is brick and timber-framed single-storey arm with two windows, 2-light mid-C20 case- ments, one to either side of glazed door. Frame of gable has four rectangular panels from cill to tie. Rear elevation of gabled arm has multiple struts forming a series of lozenges in gable top. Interior noted as having heavy chamfered ceiling beams. (RCHM, Vol III, p 99).
