GV II
Mill house and attached mill and workshops. C18 extended C19. Brick, part of house tilehung 1st floor, roofs old plain tile, except mill itself slate-roofed. Building contained mill house, corn mill, saw mill, separating dairy, and estate workshops, plan of 2 storey, tall-roofed C19 mill attached to 2 storey , 2 bay C18 mill itself attached to 1½ storey L-shaped mill house remodelled early C20 behind C18 mill 1½ storey, 3 bay wing, against end of house. Attached to side of this running along rear of main range, single storey double pile workshop. Main elevation has 1½ storey house to RH of 2 bays, LH bay ½-hipped gable in line with rest of facade, RH bay set-back with ½-hipped gable on end. 1st floor jettied and tilehung, LH bay has 3-light casements. Ridge stack to RH bay. To LH, mill has segmental-head paned windows on both floors, and 1st floor raised band. To LH C19 mill has large 3-light 1st floor windows. Derelict iron Poncelet water wheel still inside, drove pair of stones, saw and separator for milk from estate, whose butter was taken to the adjacent 'butter house' dairy (qv).
