Details
KIRKBY MALHAM COW CLOSE LANE SD 86 SE (North Side) 6/5 Church End Farmhouse and Church End Cottage GV II Farmhouse of several C18 builds with C20 extension to right. Cottage: late C19 front with earlier origins. Farmhouse slobbered rubble, slate roof. Rendered ridge stacks at former gable ends. Two storeys, 4 bays. Two left-hand bays have C18 windows with flush surrounds including one 3-light window with recessed flat-faced mullions on ground floor and similar 2-light window above. 4-panel door in plain raised surround between right-hand bays which have plain raised surrounds. Two windows to first floor and similar but larger windows to ground floor. All windows have C20 glazing bars. Single-bay C20 extension to right. Cottage to left refronted late C19. Dressed stone, slate roof. Two bays. Door to right with plain raised surround and cornice over. Sash windows with plain raised surrounds, ridge and left-hand gable stacks. Included for group value.
