6/78 Well Too and Well House -
GV II
House. Possibly late C17 or early C18, extended C18 and remodelled C20. Painted and rendered rubble and cob walls, slate sills. Steep scantle slate roof with gable ends, formerly thatched; brick chimney over external breast at left-hand gable end possibly C20. 3 lateral brick chimneys over rear wall . Plan originally of hall, left, and parlour, right, with vestibule or cross passage between. Further similar house built at right probably C18 but remodelled in the C19. 2 storeys. Main 3-window front, left: tall slightly projecting C20 2 storeys plus attic gabled bay on left, otherwise original openings; doorway slightly towards right with C20 door. Windows are circa late C18 early C19 12-pane 2-light horizontal sliding casements. Interior not inspected. One of a group of circa late C17 to early C19 houses at the head of the creek at Helford.
