SK 16 SE PARISH OF HARTINGTON NETHER QUARTER FRIDEN 8/99 (West Side) Friden Grange II

Farmhouse, Early C19. Coursed squared limestone, painted stone dressings. Stone slate roof. Stone ridge stacks. Advanced central,two and half storey,gabled bay with two storey bays either side. Both side bays have single plane roofs, continuing the line of central roof from lower down the wall. Three bays. South elevation central 3-light chamfered mullion window with Tudor dripmould over. Recessed to east, flush doorcase with bracketed flat stone hood. Door with three long panels. Thin fanlight over. Recessed to west, single light window in flush surround with Tudor dripmould over. Similar window above and over door. Central window above, formerly 2-light, now with C20 casements. Above, in gable, single light window with dripmould. All fenestration iron small paned windows with intersecting tracery tops and four pane casements, except central first floor window.
