The thick limestone lid is unmoulded and has a badly eroded inscription on top to Elizabeth Trefusis who died in 1730. The slate panel which belongs to the south side of the chest is now placed on the top of the tomb; it has the arms of Trefusis impaling Trenarth (a chevron between 3 horses' heads) and an inscription to Ann, wife of Henry Trefusis who died in 1692, qv.
