Farmhouse and byre. 1670 date, with initials H.E. & H.E., on lintel to byre
door; change in masonry suggests ground floor of house may be older. C19
additions and alterations include building of loft over byre. Ground floor of
house stone blocks, upper floor and byre coursed squared rubble with quoins.
Welsh slate roofs with stone-flagged eaves. Wing to rear. Possibly originally.
a cross-passage plan. 2 storeys. House 4 bays: Plank door in C19 surround
with sash to left, 2 casements and small fire window to right. 3 sashes above
with blocked single-light window over door. All windows in original chamfered
surrounds; former 2-light windows have had mullions removed. Hoodmoulds with
labels to door and main ground-floor windows. Stone copings and kneelers; stone
end chimneys. 3-bay byre has plank door (to former cross passage) on left in
chamfered surround with dated lintel under hoodmould; stone steps up from
south-east corner to central plank loft door.
