Vestry and stables to Wesleyan chapel. Circa 1880. Granite rubble with dressed
granite quoins, lintels and cills. Grouted scantle slate roof with gabled ends, red
clay ridge tiles and ogee cast-iron gutters.
Plan: The 2-storey building, on a sloping site, has stables at the lower level with
doorway on the south side onto the road; and above on the higher level the vestry
faces the chapel forecourt to the west and has a doorway on the north end.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Symmetrical 2 window west front facing the forecourt; C19 16-
pane sashes, and at ground level a small window lighting the stable below. On the
left hand (north) end a flight of steps with an iron balustrade up to a doorway to
the vestry. On the opposite right (south) end a plank door at the lower ground
level to the stables. The east side abuts the adjoining cottage.
