Details
ST CLEER TREMAR SX 26 NE 11/94 East Cottage - GV II Pair of attached houses, probably built for miners; now one house. Dated WS 1853, with later C19 addition and some later alterations. Rendered stone rubble. Hipped slate roof with ridge tiles and central axial rendered stack. Plan: Pair of one-room plan houses, each with porch entrance to outer side of front, leading directly into the room; each room heated from back to back fireplaces in the central axial stack. Exterior: 2 storeys, symmetrical 2-window front. Ground and first floor to centre have two 16-pane sashes. First floor central datestone. End left has C20 porch. End right has single storey attached gabled addition, enclosing the original porch, and extended by a small single storey outhouse with gable end and 2 doors. Rest of building and interior not inspected.
