Top of Cornish cross mounted next to chancel wall of Church of St John the Evangelist

Head and part of shaft of Cornish cross. Medieval. Granite. Wheelhead type. Approximately 80cm high, with shaft 21cm wide and head 48cm in diameter; the face is filled by raised figure of Christ in a sunk panel, and the rear has a raised Latin cross. Was formerly mounted on hedge at Killivose crossroads, removed to Pendarves c.1888, and to this site in 1955.
