6/27 House between Barclays Bank and Homeside
GV II House. Circa mid C19. Painted and rendered stone rubble with brick dressings. Slate roof with gable ends. Brick chimney stack on left-hand gable end and stone rubble chimney stack with brick shaft on right-hand gable end. Probably 2 room and central entrance hall Plan. On steeply sloping site with ground sloping to west and entrance raised above street level. 2 storeys, symmetrical 2-window front with two 4-pane sashes beneath brick segmental arches flanking central panelled door also beneath brick segmental arch. First floor with 2 sashes with Gothic glazing bars to top lights. Only central entrance hall inspected. Included for group value.
