Details

WOOBURN HEDSOR ROAD SU 88 NE (BOURNE END) 5/188 Rose Cottage and Little Rose Cottage - - II Two houses. Late C18 and early C19 centre with flanking C19 extensions. Late C18 part is of brick, chequered to first floor, with first floor band course and quoins and unknapped flint. Dentil eaves, hipped slate roof, brick chimneys. 2 storeys, 3 bays. First floor has paired leaded casements with Gothick arched lights and rustication blocks of unknapped flint. Ground floor altered, with C19-C20 French doors flanking 2-light wooden casement. Matching bay added to left early C19. Later C19 2-storey flint and brick wings project at each end, and have hipped slate roofs and dentil eaves. Left wing has wooden casements, right wing has sash window over half glazed door. C20 alterations and extensions to rear.
