GV II House. Mid C18 and early C19. Brick in English bond to earlier section, Flemish bond to later section; stone slate roof to earlier section, Welsh slate roof to later section. 2 parallel ranges under an M-shaped roof, with earlier range to rear. 2 storeys, 3 bays with single-storey, flat-roofed flanking bays. Half-glazed door beneath radial fanlight in Tuscan doorcase flanked by sashes with glazing bars beneath channelled wedge lintels with fluted keystones. Blind windows to flanking bays with coped parapets. First floor: central sash with decorative margin lights, flanked by sashes with glazing bars, beneath similar lintels to ground floor. Gable coping, shaped kneelers, end stacks. Rear facade contains reset original front door: 6-fielded-panel door beneath radial fanlight in Doric doorcase with fluted pilasters and open pediment. Interior: closed-string staircase with turned balusters to hallway of rear section. Left reception room of front section has elliptical-arched alcove, fine original brass fittings to door, acanthus cornice and vinescroll border to ceiling. Fluted cornice to right reception room.
