Farmhouse. Circa late Cl.8 to early C19. Slatestone rubble walls, originally stuccoed to front (south) and west side cement rendered to front with copies of rusticated quoins in 1985. Hipped dry Delabole slate roofs with wide eaves with modillion brackets to front. Chimneys over side walls are 1985 concrete replacements of brick chimneys. Plan of overall L-shape formed by: original front of 2 equal reception rooms flanking central vestibule passage leading to central stair hall between narrow rear service rooms; and circa early C19 wing at right angles to rear of left-hand room. 2 storeys. Symmetrical 3-window south front. Central doorway approach by flight of 5 granite steps. C20 door, fanlight and doorcase are copies of original 6-panel door with fielded panels; doorcase with pilaster jambs and round arch breaking pediment with modillioned cornice, and panelled reveals. C20 replacement 16-pane horned sashes. Interior not inspected, except for entrance passage which has plaster ceiling cornice, and stair hall with open-well open-string stick baluster stair with mahogany handrail wreathed over newel.
