Details

GOODMANHAM SE 84 SE 7/18 Hall Garth 26.1.67 - II* Rectory, now a house. 1823-4 by Charles Mountain. Pale grey brick, stone dressings, timber eaves cornice. Slate roofs. Central direct entry plan. Two storeys, five bays. Plinth. Central Roman Doric tetrastyle portico with triglyph frieze, mutule cornice, and blocking course. Double-leaf glazed door flanked by pilasters. Cross-mullion casements with glazing bars under cambered gauged brick arches to right and to left. 1st floor: tripartite casement, with pilasters and cornice, over door: sashes with glazing bars and sills and segmental gauged brick heads to right and left. Moulded eaves cornice, hipped roofs, axial stacks. Garden front of two storeys, 3 bays has similar fenestration incorporating full-height 3-window bow. This house is said to contain a fine contemporary interior (not inspected).
