PROBUS SW 94 NW 5/35 Benallack Farmhouse and garden - walls with iron gate.
- II
Farmhouse. Circa C17 or early C18 remodelled in mid C19 with mid C19 rear addition. Rendered shale rubble with Delabole slate roof and brick and stone gable chimneys. L shaped plan with C19 addition filling angle. 2 storeys, 3 windows, entrance off centre to right. Door 6 panelled (top 4 now glazed) with panelled reveals. Wide window to left is 16 pane sash with 4 paned sidelights, one to right is 16 pane sash as are slightly irregularly spaced ones to first floor left and middle with C20 casement to right. Render obscures any evidence of alterations. Stone gable chimney to left and brick chimney set back from end to right with slate roofing in form of hip over breast. Roofs over this part and C17 wing have been heightened probably C19. Rear has 2 storey C19 infill with irregular brick arched openings and gable porch with side entrance. Gable end of wing adjoining to right has stone chimney. Interior not inspected.
