7/105 Outbuildings and yard walls to north of Hutton Hall farmhouse
GV II
Outbuilding range and yard walls. East part C16 or early C17, west part and yard west wall C18, yard east wall C19. East part heavy rubble with irregular long quoins; west part and yard walls rubble; some cut dressings. Graduated stone slates on east part; pantiles, with stone slates to eaves, on west part.
2 storeys, 3 + 2 bays, irregular. Left part shows 2 boarded doors, one with external stone stair, stable door, 12-pane Yorkshire sash and henhole with stone shelf for poultry ladder; raised left gable coping. Older right part is taller, showing boarded door with timber lintel, small window above and traces of blocked openings. External stair to boarded door, and pigeon-cote on right return gable.
Far left tall flat-coped wall, returning to join Hall west wing: 2 boarded doors with timber lintels.
To rear of older part are 2 cart entrances (one blocked) with massive stone lintels.
Yard east wall is lower, with roughly-pitched coping and small monolith gate piers; right pier has incised '9'. Left pier formerly bore figure '8': figures cut in C19 by sons of the household who had promised to return home "between 8 and 9" each evening.
Interior: west part of range has room with brick barrel vault.
