5/27 The Old Greyhound and Hill House (formerly listed as Hill House) 26.9.51

GV II

Pair of houses, part formerly an inn. C16-C17, altered, with C19 wing to right. 3 older bays to left have timber frame to first floor, now concealed with whitewashed render and half timbering, the 2 left bays slightly overhanging. Tall ground floor rebuilt in brick C19. 2 storeys. C20 casements, 3-light to ground floor with outer panes leaded. 2-light to first floor, leaded, in right bay. Additional single light between right bays over C20 door in C20 gabled timber porch. C19 wing to right forming L-plan, is of brick with slate roof, C20 metal casements, and entry in right side. Interior of older part has timber-framed trusses to first floor. Lower part of chimney stack is removed.
