House. C18 and extended in the C19 and C20. Painted shale rubble walls, slate sills and wooden lintels. Rag slate roof with brick chimneys over gable ends and party wall and cast iron ogee gutters. Plan of parlour, left, slightly larger hall/kitchen right and passage between leading to stair in central rear turret projection; small C20 extension to left of stair, 1 room circa early-mid C19 extension on left and C20 extension at right angles and partly projecting to front at far left. 2 storeys. Overall 4-window front of 1-window front of original house. Central doorway with ground floor windows grouped closer. Gabled porch with slate roof. Windows are 2-light casements and original except for ground floor circa early C20 ones to left and right of doorway. Those to first floor of original C18 house have thick glazing bars with internal ovolo-mouldings and much original crown glass. All windows have old external panelled shutters. Interior is little altered. Original C18 winder stair with plank newel and turned balusters to landing balustrade; 3 C18 2-panel doors; moulded ceiling beams: circa early C19 top-glazed door to stair with 2 diamond shaped panes and original roof structures not inspected. An interesting house with a small stair turret at this date, and 3 original C18 casements surviving.
