House now 2 houses. Circa early C18. Shale rubble, side and rear painted and with Flemish bond brick to first floor of front, slate sills, flat freestone or brick arches and wooden lintels at side and rear. Steep roofs with brick chimneys over gable ends to main roof and large gabled lateral brick chimney over external rubble breast to right-hand side of rear wing of No 26. Dry Delabole slate to No 25 and scantle slate to No 26 including wing. Modillioned eaves conrice to front. Overall 1-shaped plan, single depth originally plus later service rooms. Each house has one front room, and No 26, right (south) has original service wing at right angles to rear. Entrance cross passages to middle. Remodelled circa early C19 as 2 houses but originally a house, with 2 reception rooms, central passage leading to stair (behind right-hand room) and with service wing. 2 storeys. Originally symmetrical 5-window west road front with central doorway but now with doorway inserted to left of original doorway and window to right of doorway blocked and windows inserted between. Doorways have stucco surrounds and C20 hood on scrolled wrought iron brackets. No 25, left, has circa 1980's PVC windows and No 26 has 16-pane horned sashes. Interior not inspected but No 26 is said to have fine original panelling and arched niches in 2 of the rooms. This must have been an important house in Flushing and although altered retains some good original features.
