6/228 Earth closet east of The Cottage
GV II
Detached earth closet. Circa early-mid C19. Dressed granite front, otherwise
granite rubble with dressed granite quoins. Scantle slate roof with gable ends. Red
clay ridge tiles.
Small single cell plan with doorway to the south side; seat along the rear wall with
provision for 1 bucket.
South front has doorway slightly right of middle.
Interior has original wooden seat with lid.
A virtually complete C19 earth closet and very near the Church of Saint Germoe qv and
Saint Germoe's Chair qv.
