LANSALLOS TALLAND SX 25 SW 4/101 Headstone of William Barrett 6m to - west of east entrance to Churchyard GV II
Headstone. 1770. In memory of William, son of Reginold and Filley Barret. Slate headstone with round-head. Decorated with head of angle, finger pointing at hour glass and figure blowing arrows at a heart. Inscribed with lower case lettering with serifs. Verse below 'Lament not for we our Mother so Dear. no more in vain If you have lost tis we have Gain. we are gone to see Our Dearest Friends that Dwell above. them will we go and see And all our Friends that Dwell in Christ below Will soon come after us'. Resited after landslide in churchyard.
