GV II

Cottage, formerly pair of cottages. Early C19 or older. Shale rubble with asbestos slate roof and brick gable chimneys. Left chimney has rendered stump which may be stone and earlier. 2 room plan. 2 storeys, 2 windows. Door off centre to right, other door off centre to left is blocked. Ground floor left window has been widened and has 12-pane, 2-light casement as does ground floor window to right. First floor windows are 16-pane, centre hung, 2-light casements. Windows have timber lintels and doorways have shallow brick arches. Interior has one straight flight stair in front of door (evidence for second stair), large open stone hearth which had oven to left, large hearth to right, open beamed ceilings and exposed truss feet.
