BURTON CONSTABLE BURTON CONSTABLE PARK TA 1836-1936 9/8 Head Gardener's Cottage approximately 54 metres to west of Burton Constable Hall GV II House. c1770 with later additions and alterations including range to left of no special interest. Reddish-brown brick in English garden wall bond with red brick and ashlar dressings and Welsh slate roof. 2 storeys, main facade to gable end. Entrance now to side a 6-panel door. Main facade: ashlar plinth. Arcade of 3 recessed round arches to 3/4 height with red brick heads and ashlar imposts. Recesses now cement rendered with inserted casement window to each outer arch. Pedimented gable has dentilled cornice, which continues around sides as eaves band, and semicircular recess, now rendered with red brick head. Ashlar copings. Ridge stacks. Built as a pair with Garden Cottage (qv). Included for group value.
