IMMINGHAM CHURCH LANE TA 11 NE (north side, off) 1/9 Churchfield Manor (formerly listed as Church Field Cottages) 9.7.73

House. Late C17 - early C18, roof lowered later; alterations and rear additions of c1970. Red brick with pantile roof. Rectangular on plan: 3 rooms with entrance hall; probably originally with rear wing. 2 low storeys, 4 bays. Tall plinth. Entrance to second bay has C20 glazed door and doorcase beneath original segmental stretcher arch, flanked by single window to left and 2 to right, all with C20 sliding sashes with glazing bars beneath infilled brick panels and similar segmental stretcher arches. 3- course brick first-floor band, cut by similar C20 first-floor windows with lintels at eaves level. Stepped eaves. End stacks. Left return has large central blocked window with similar arch, blocked square-headed first-floor opening. Right return has C20 ground-floor casement and narrow blocked opening beneath segmental stretcher arch, C20 attic casement. C20 extension to rear is of no special interest.
